The Biomedical Engineering is the branch of engineering that aims at the development and application of technologies for the area of health.

In order to promote and consolidate this area of knowledge in Brazil, was founded in 1974 the Brazilian Society of Biomedical Engineering SBEB held biennially that the Brazilian Congress of Biomedical Engineering CBEB. The XXI edition of CBEB will be held in Salvador, Bahia in the period from 16 to Nov. 19, 2008.

The great challenge of Biomedical Engineering in Brazil is known to produce quality incorporating areas of Technology and Health in the near future so that Brazil can be a country producer and exporter of these same technologies, strengthening the domestic industry and at the same time, contributing to that health services can offer better service to citizens.

To strengthen ties between the biomedical engineering and health, The CBEB'2008 will be on the Biomedical Engineering Engineering Health.

 

XXI Congress of Biomedical Engineering

The Congress of Biomedical Engineering CBEB may occur both in partnership with other scientific societies of events related to isolation, a fact that was repeated in 13 thirteen editions. The editions of 1992 1994, 1996 and 1998 were members of the National Forum of Science and Technology in Health I, II, III and IV FNCTS, organized in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Physicists in Medicine and the Brazilian Society of Information Technology in Health in 2004 , When Brazil hosted the Third Latin American Congress of Biomedical Engineering, the event counted with the partnership of CORAL Regional Council of Biomedical Engineering for Latin America, and in 2006 occurred in conjunction with the II Brazilian Congress of Clinical Engineering, the Brazilian Association Engineering Clinic ABCLIN.

 

OBJECTIVE

The goal of Congress is to provide opportunities for researchers, professionals and managers of the areas of health and engineering, as well as students can disclose, discuss, share experiences and learn about the main aspects of application of knowledge to the area of Engineering For Health both, is the unique feature of the area of Biomedical Engineering, the interdisciplinary, to guide the entire design and development of this event.

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

Among the participants will CBEB'2008 teachers and / or experts from public institutions and private Latin American, students in graduate and postgraduate studies in several South American countries, technical staff and professionals Brazilians, as well as state and local authorities the area of Health and entrepreneurs interested in discussing issues associated with Biomedical Engineering.

 

IV Brazilian Congress of Clinical Engineering

CBEB'2008 parallel to the CBEClin IV will be held on 19 and November 20, 2008, at the Convention Center of Bahia in Salvador.

 

OBJECTIVE

Revisiting the activity of Clinical Engineering in its various modes of action, focusing on aspects relating to training, areas of interest, integration with other professionals, recognized as identify institutions of excellence, share best practices, providing space for dissemination of new technologies.

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

The event is targeted for professionals in pursuit of activities related to the area of health and other professionals and students with an interest in Clinical Engineering.

 

VI Forum of Applied Technology in Health

CBEB'2008 parallel to the FTAS VI will be held on 17 and November 18, 2008, at the Convention Center of Bahia in Salvador.

For this event, there will be no submissions of written work, either orally. The VIFTAS will run from 03 tables with three thematic exhibitors and 01 Debater an expert in the field and the opening of discussions with the participants of the Forum.

 

OBJECTIVE

It is intended that the Forum for Health Technology Applied to meet managers of health units, municipal administrators, health professionals, students and researchers interested in the dissemination and use or effectiveness of various technologies used in health, focusing on the management of public medical equipment, considering how basic premise for this process to a safe and effective management of technology applied to health.

 

TARGET AUDIENCE

The event is primarily the managers of health units, local health managers, professionals, students and researchers of technology applied to health.
